  • Receptionist/Administrative Assistant (Raleigh Office)

    A full-time position is available for a receptionist/administrative assistant. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with a minimum of 3-5 years professional services experience, good organizational skills, and be able to work with minimal supervision. Must have the ability to work well within a team atmosphere and to cross train to provide back-up for other administrative team members. Software skills to include MS Word, Excel, and Access. Duties to include answering a multiline telephone, typing, and other general administrative duties. Previous experience with an A/E firm or a background in Construction Administration is preferred.

    A position for a Senior Project Architect is available in our expanding Northern Virginia office. Candidates will have 15+ years experience, will lead Business Development for the office, will manage projects, and will recruit and mentor young architectural staff.
  • Project Architects (Charlotte, Norfolk, Richmond & Raleigh Offices)
    We seek talented Project Architects with a portfolio of completed projects with a focus and ability to figure out complex design details, work with a full design team of architects, engineers and project managers and mentor young staff.   • Project Architect (Washington, DC office)
    A full-time position is available for a Project Architect in our expanding Washington, DC regional office.   • Architect (Roanoke Office)
    We have an immediate opening for a registered Architect with a minimum 5 years experience. Experience in project management with commercial and institutional building projects is a plus.
  • Intern Architects (Norfolk, Richmond, Charlotte & Raleigh Offices)
    We seek talented and passionate Intern Architects with strong design, detailing and production backgrounds. Our intern curriculum will assist in becoming a well-rounded architect capable of passing the exam within 3 years and capable of pursuing personal interests within the architectural field while under the oversight of our talented group of architects and project managers. CADD TECHNICIAN
Current Openings
  • Architectural CADD Technician (Roanoke Office)
    CADD drafter or designer with minimum 3-5 years experience effectively using AutoCAD Architectural Desktop. The successful candidate will be experienced with working on and coordinating the CADD effort on multiple inter-office projects.
  • Mechanical CADD Technician (Norfolk, Richmond & Raleigh Offices)
    Experience in an A/E consulting environment with one year in Mechanical is desired. Experience with AutoCAD MEP is a must. Experience with Revit B/D Systems is a plus.
  • Structural CADD Technician (Raleigh Office)
    The candidate must be an experienced, proficient AutoCAD user capable of working in a multi-discipline, team environment. Experience in the A/E industry is a plus and proficiency with Revit Structure software is highly desirable.

    Experience in an A/E consulting environment is desired. Experience with AutoCAD is a must.

    The candidate must be an experienced, higher level technician, very proficient in AutoCAD. Working with land surveys is a preference, but not required. Candidate must be good at multi-tasking and directing younger CADD technicians, and able to work in a demanding yet rewarding environment. Civil3D experience is preferred.

    Qualifications include strong technical and project skills knowledgeable with DoD, state, and municipal criteria in land development design and/or utility design in water and sewer utility design. Positions involve design, mentoring staff, and client relation skills. PE registration required.
  • Civil Engineer, EIT (Norfolk, Alexandria, Richmond & Raleigh Offices)
    The candidate should be knowledgeable in various aspects of civil engineering design including drainage and utility design. Applicant will be primarily responsible for the technical design and preparation of construction plans for site/civil projects. The applicant should have 4 – 6 years of design experience, good communication skills, and desire to work as part of a team.
  • Civil Engineer, EIT (Roanoke Office)
    The candidate should be an entry level civil engineer in training (EIT) candidate with at least two years experience. Candidates must have a B.S. in Civil Engineering. Experience with AutoCAD or Land Development Desktop software is a plus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills required along with basic working knowledge of PCs and Microsoft Office products (i.e.: Word, Outlook, and Excel). Positive attitude and outlook a must with desire for growth opportunities and interest in accepting additional engineering responsibilities.

    The field engineer will serve at the construction site and be responsible for monitoring the contractor’s compliance with all contract documents. The estimated construction times vary. Typical duties include engineering responsibility for projects and working closely with other disciplines, EIT structural engineers, and CAD technicians to produce construction documents. The candidate must have a Virginia PE license or be capable of obtaining a Virginia PE license within six months. A minimum of six years of working experience is desired. A working knowledge of Revit Structure software is desired.
  • Sr. Structural Engineer (Norfolk)
    The candidate must have a minimum of ten years of experience in the structural analysis and design of commercial buildings. The candidate must have a working knowledge of the current VUSBC and all major material codes and standards. The candidate must be proficient with all phases of design, from conceptual system selection to production of working drawings. Strong mentoring skills and the ability to collaborate with other in-house disciplines is required. Strong written and verbal communication skills and a solid work ethic are required. The candidate must have a Virginia PE license or be capable of obtaining a Virginia PE license within six months. Active involvement in professional and technical organizations is highly desired.
