Clark Nexsen is thrilled to announce that Larry Green has joined the firm as a senior transportation engineer in our Raleigh office. In addition, current senior transportation project manager, Sherry Earley, also joins the team in Raleigh after relocating from Virginia Beach. With extensive experience working alongside local and state municipalities, these individuals bring exceptional value to North Carolina and present a strategic growth opportunity for the market.
Larry Green, PE, PTOE, joins the Raleigh transportation team, bringing to the firm more than three decades of specialized traffic and lighting expertise across the Mid-Atlantic region. Green has worked with a wide array of government agencies at the local, state, and federal level, including the Baltimore City Department of Transportation and the Maryland State Highway Administration, as well as the North Carolina Department of Transportation and other municipalities in the Raleigh-Durham area. He also has experience working with the Military Traffic Command. At Clark Nexsen, Larry will strengthen the firm’s policy, analysis, and roadway design expertise and support the continued expansion of our Raleigh market in North Carolina and beyond.

Larry received his Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in Maryland, North Carolina, and Virginia, as well as a certified Professional Traffic Operations Engineer. In addition to his engineering experience, Larry is an active member of ACEC North Carolina and both the North Carolina and Washington D.C. Section of Institute of Transportation Engineers.
Sherry Earley, PE, has worked in the public sector for over 30 years and brings a unique perspective and understanding of the intricacies within local municipal government. More than two decades of her career were focused on providing leadership and management of transportation engineering projects, which included overseeing a variety of small and largescale transportation and utility projects during her employment at the cities of Suffolk, Poquoson, and Virginia Beach. Sherry is involved with American Public Works Association (APWA) and previously served on the board of directors of the Mid-Atlantic Chapter. She is also a member of the American Society of Highway Engineers (ASHE) and the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE).
During her time at Clark Nexsen, Sherry has been involved in a number of significant roadway, intersection, and drainage improvement projects throughout Virginia. Utilizing her extensive knowledge of municipal guidelines, she has assisted clients in the preparation of applications for funding opportunities. Recently, Sherry has been helping coordinate public participation opportunities during COVID-19 restrictions.
