Sal Albustami, PE, recently joined Clark Nexsen as department head of the firm’s Industrial practice. Sal brings 20 years of project, process systems, and management experience applied to engineering, commissioning, and construction. Based out of the firm’s Macon, GA office, he is responsible for overseeing daily departmental operations, supporting professional development efforts, and enacting efficient and cost-effective practices.

Prior to joining Clark Nexsen, Sal served as the engineering manager for Jacobs Engineering Morocco where he honed his talent in coordinating multi-discipline engineering, procurement, and construction activities in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner.

In addition to his international work experience in the U.S., Morocco, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey, Sal is also passionate about research opportunities and has completed and presented studies on various chemical engineering topics. Most recently, he presented Modelling and Simulation of Slurry Phosphate Thickening at “SYMPHOS 2015”, the third International Symposium on Innovation and Technology in the Phosphate Industry, which was later published in Procedia Engineering.
