Today, the College of Engineering at NC State University is an energetic community where students and faculty engage in interdisciplinary collaboration that leads to new solutions to society’s greatest challenges. Engineering Building Oval will unify the College of Engineering on Centennial Campus and leverage the power of convergence across disciplines, forming one of the world’s most dynamic research and education environments.
The facility will be light-filled and vibrant, serving as a beacon for what is possible in our age of technology. More than 100 classrooms and cutting-edge laboratories will further research in biomanufacturing, advanced manufacturing, rapid prototyping, health systems in engineering, construction engineering and management, transportation systems, and other fields of great societal impact. The Department of Civil, Construction, and Environmental Engineering, the Edward P. Fitts Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering, the Dean’s Administration, and the Engineering Education Enhancement Center will be housed within the facility.
