Paul’s ability to draw from and synthesize his experiences as both an academic and a practitioner serves his clients and his projects well. He excels at leading collaborative teams to provide innovative design solutions for federal DoD, corporate and higher education projects. Paul joined Clark Nexsen as a senior architect in 2011 and was promoted to principal in 2016.
He previously taught architectural design at Virginia Tech’s School of Architecture and at NC State University’s College of Design and held adjunct appointments at Virginia Commonwealth University and Hampton University. Prior to teaching, he practiced architecture in Richmond, Virginia, where he worked on a range of projects including residential renovations and additions to large aviation, public, corporate and healthcare facilities.
Paul has served as chair of the Virginia Society Design Committee and currently organizes a lecture series that invites award-winning practitioners and academics to share their work with the local architectural community. He has both a Master of Architecture and a Bachelor of Architecture from Virginia Tech.
