Pravin Mathur leads our Geospatial Information Systems market with over 28 years of experience in both the consulting and public sectors. He has extensive experience in the field of GIS, with organizations including the U.S. Census Bureau, DC State Data Center and the Office of the Chief Technology Officer, and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, Police Foundation. Pravin is adept in GIS principles, policies, procedures and processes and has a strong working knowledge of ESRI products – ArcGIS suite, ArcGIS Online, ArcSDE, Spatial Analyst, Geostatistical Analyst, and Model Builder. Pravin was the on-site manager at the U.S. Bureau of Census during the Census 2000 Count Review process, providing GIS data and custom application development and training during the entire review process. Pravin was an Authorized ESRI Instructor for several years, leading GIS training sessions for many different user levels.

At the City of Richmond, where he was prior to coming to Clark Nexsen, Pravin was part of the Accreditation Team for American Public Works Association (APWA) credentialing of the agency. He was also responsible for organizing regional user group meetings for Cityworks, an asset management program. He is a long time member of the Certification Committee of the GIS Certification Institute. He was instrumental in the citizen engagement initiatives at the City and led the team that provided GIS mapping and analysis support for the UCI World Bicycle Championships in 2015. Pravin initiated a mobile pilot project at the City for service delivery, which projected not only cost savings, but also improved productivity.
