Clark Nexsen Named to Architect 50 for the Fourth Consecutive Year

Clark Nexsen has been named to ARCHITECT magazine’s 2015 Architect 50 as one of the top 50 design firms in the U.S. This marks the fourth consecutive year the firm has been included in the Architect 50.

Moving up nine spots from last year, Clark Nexsen achieved an overall ranking of #33. Most industry rankings are revenue-based, but the Architect 50 is based on the combination of three separately ranked categories: design, business, and sustainability.  The design ranking is based on a judged portfolio of up to five projects worked on or completed in the last year.

Clark Nexsen was ranked #23 in the sustainability category. The firm earned strong marks based on participation in the AIA’s 2030 Commitment program, energy and water metrics, percentage of employees with LEED AP or Green Associate credentials, and a representative green project. The judges noted “Clark Nexsen’s Raleigh Durham airport project illustrated the sustainable benefits of renovation vs. demolition.”

The Architect 50 rankings are published in the September issue of ARCHITECT magazine. This year, 124 firms qualified to participate in the rankings.
