Mike Putallaz is a Senior Bridge Engineer with more than 24 years of experience in the design, inspection, rehabilitation, and evaluation of highway structures throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia. Based in our Roanoke office, Mike is part of the bridge inspection group that develops strategies for growth and operations and leads inspection teams. He has performed approximately 1,900 bridge, culvert, and tunnel safety inspections and over 200 ancillary highway structure safety inspections. For the past 17 years, he has concurrently performed QA/QC reviews of inspections reports under the role of QA/QC manager to ensure complete and high-quality reports that meet and exceed clients’ expectations. He has a primary role as the client manager for the Federal Highway Administration, supports DOT and municipal client management, and has spearheaded how emerging technologies, such as drones, can benefit Clark Nexsen’s bridge inspection efforts. Mike is also a proactive mentor to junior team members, providing a patient and constructive approach that supports growth and development. His leadership and innovative mindset have made him an invaluable member and resource to his colleagues and clients.
