Clark Nexsen, Kimley-Horn Partnership Raises Over $10,300 for Children’s Flight of Hope
Clark Nexsen and Kimley-Horn are pleased to announce that $10,376.54 has been raised at the annual Hops for Hope fundraising campaign for Children’s Flight of Hope, a nonprofit organization in North Carolina that provides flights to specialized medical care for children in need.
“This has been another great year with our fundraising team and partners, Kimley-Horn,” said Scott Nelsen, AIA, Senior Architect, and Clark Nexsen fundraising team captain. “We’re so thankful to play a part in supporting the incredible mission of Children’s Flight of Hope.”
Hops for Hope is an annual event in the North Carolina Triangle area that pairs corporate teams with local breweries to create a unique beer in support of Children’s Flight of Hope. Each team is given a “passenger” that highlights how the organization is helping children in need. This year, Clark Nexsen and Kimley-Horn partnered with Wye Hill Kitchen & Brewing as team Boomtown Brewers to create their beer. Inspired by their passenger, the team created a pair of sour beers for the event: Ruby Rush and Fools Gold.
“Partnering with Clark Nexsen has been incredibly rewarding,” said Kaitlyn Faugerstrom, PE, and Kimley-Horn fundraising team captain. “We’re so excited how our second year of raising over $10,000 will make an impact for such a meaningful cause.”
This campaign marks the eighth consecutive year that the Raleigh offices of Clark Nexsen and Kimley-Horn have participated in this event, resulting in almost $40,000 raised in just the past four years. In addition to the Clark Nexsen and Kimley-Horn team’s fundraising efforts, has donated $5,000 to this opportunity, enhancing the campaign’s reach.
