In May 2016 Clark Nexsen and Action Target sponsored a 1-day Modern Firearms Training Range Development seminar. The City of Winston-Salem, NC Police Department, hosted the seminar at their Joint Firearms Training Facility, designed by Clark Nexsen. This seminar was focused on analyzing current law enforcement gunfight statistics, clarifying the difference between firearm qualification and training, discussing the many challenges of firearms training requirements, and examining the modern equipment that will alleviate those problems safely and efficiently.
Taught by instructors from Action Target, and local law enforcement professionals, this unique learning experience combined classroom learning with a live fire training portion, where attendees received hands on training in the firing range.
