Wes Parker Awarded VASITE Outstanding Individual Activity Award

In June, Wes Parker, PE, PTOE, was awarded the 2025 Outstanding Individual Activity Award from the Virginia Section of the Institute of Transportation Engineers (VASITE) at the VASITE Annual Meeting and Technical Conference in Virgina Beach, VA. Each year, this award recognizes a member who has made outstanding contributions to the transportation engineering profession and to the Section.   

“It’s an honor to be recognized with this award from VASITE,” said Wes. “Throughout my membership, I’ve aimed to return the support I received from the professional transportation community. I’m incredibly grateful to have made an impact worthy of this recognition.” 

Since joining VASITE in 2007, Wes has maintained an active presence and pursued opportunities for further involvement. He has led the organization as secretary, vice president, and president, and currently, Wes serves as the Virginia Section’s representative on the Southern District of the Institute of Transportation Engineers (SDITE) Board of Directors. 

Wes Parker is a Managing Principal and Infrastructure Market Sector Leader at Clark Nexsen. He has over 18 years of design and management experience on a wide variety of transportation and traffic engineering projects, which enables him to envision potential conflicts and present unique solutions. In addition to his extensive involvement in professional organizations, Wes is an Eagle Scout and has served as vice president of camping operations for the Scouting America, Tidewater Council since 2010 and also serves as Vice Chairman of the Board at ABNB Federal Credit Union.
