Named for two Medal of Honor recipients — Colonel Van Barfoot and Colonel Carl Sitter — the Virginia Department of Veterans Services partnered with Clark Nexsen to provide space planning, interior design, wayfinding, preparation of construction documents, and construction administration for the Sitter & Barfoot Veterans Care Center. Per the VDVS website, this facility sets the gold standard in quality care for Virginia’s veterans.

“In conversations with people who have visited the facility, they are so impressed they are at a loss for words trying to describe how great the facility is, in both architecture and decor.”

— Bill Van Thiel, Administrator, Virginia Veterans Care Center
