Clark Nexsen Among Interior Design’s 2020 Giants

Clark Nexsen among Interior Design Giants 2020The annual Interior Design Magazine 100 Giants Survey is out now with Clark Nexsen coming in at No. 61 on its list of the top 100 interiors practices in 2020. The survey ranks firms by design fees and provides analysis on market trends, project typology, and regional growth.

Corporate work remains by far the biggest moneymaker for the Top Giants, with 77 firms working in that sector accounting for nearly 40% of all revenue ($1.87 billion).

New construction accounted for 55% of all project types, followed by renovations with 41% of the interior design market. Refreshing previously completed jobs jumped from 3% in 2018 to 9% in 2019. Clark Nexsen Director of Interiors, Susan Drew, agrees that giving corporate interiors spaces a new look is on the rise. “The environment is a big part of a company’s culture. So companies that want to have a culture that, say, fosters innovation, need a design that embodies that value. The impact on culture — and as a result, productivity and business goals — is substantial.”
