Clark Nexsen Donates $20,000 to the Chesapeake Bay Foundation for Giving Tuesday

In partnership with the Community Collective Foundation, Clark Nexsen is proud to announce that it will be donating $20,000 to the Chesapeake Bay Foundation as part of its Giving Tuesday campaign.

“Since starting this campaign and joining the global movement of generosity, we’ve been able to impact incredibly deserving organizations,” said Jennifer Heintz, AIA, LEED AP, Senior Architect, Principal, and Community Collective Foundation Secretary and Treasurer. “We are continuously inspired by our employees’ enthusiasm and are thrilled to double our annual contribution to $20,000, which this year will go to the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, an organization that touches the lives of many of our employees.”

In honor of Giving Tuesday, Clark Nexsen hosts an annual campaign where a theme is selected, nonprofits are nominated, and employees vote for which charitable organization they wish to receive a donation. With the campaign now in its third year, employee response and enthusiasm resulted in the firm doubling its annual donation.

This year’s theme was conservation, and with help from Clark Nexsen’s sustainability group, conservation-focused organizations were nominated. At the conclusion of the voting period, the Chesapeake Bay Foundation received over 60% of employee votes and will be awarded this year’s $20,000 donation to support their mission to save the Chesapeake Bay through education, advocacy, restoration, and litigation programs. Clark Nexsen’s third annual Giving Tuesday donation will help protect clean water, restore habitats, and inspire others to join the foundation’s fight for a healthy bay.
