Aaron Brumo, LouAnn Fornataro, Georgana Turner named Clark Nexsen AssociatesClark Nexsen is pleased to announce that Aaron Brumo, LouAnn Fornataro, and Georgana Turner have been named new associates and shareholders of the firm. Each of these individuals continue to make significant contributions to the success of Clark Nexsen and have shown a consistent commitment to excellence. As new owners in the firm we look forward to their partnership in driving our pursuit of innovation and transformation. As a privately held company, our shareholders are integrally involved in guiding the firm’s client-focused strategy to provide innovative, sustainable design solutions.

Aaron Brumo, AIA, LEED AP BD+C
Aaron is an award-winning architect with nearly 20 years of experience in a wide variety of project types including K-12 and higher education, commercial, and community and cultural. He believes great design begins with listening to clients’ end goals in order to create thoughtful, functional, and exceptional spaces.He has recently led teams at Clark Nexsen to design the Carolina Day Lower School, Edneyville Elementary School, and City Centre, an urban development in downtown Asheville. His design awards include two AIA North Carolina awards for the Innovative High School and Carolina Day Lower School.

LouAnn Fornataro, AIA, FCSI, CCCA, LEED AP, PMP
Known for her organization, attention to detail, and solution-finding mindset, LouAnn is a senior project manager who has led the successful delivery of large, complex projects for clients across a diverse set of markets. Prior to joining Clark Nexsen in 2011, LouAnn founded and led her own minority/women-owned architecture firm for 20 years. She credits that experience with contributing to her focus on clear communication and quality control, as she was responsible for not only design, but also all business operations. She was the project manager for the Davis Barracks at U.S. Military Academy at West Point, a facility with state-of-the-art engineering that has received numerous awards, including an ENR National “Best of the Best” Project Award and an ACEC National Engineering Excellence Honor Award.

Georgana Turner, PMP, DBIA, LC, LEED AP
Georgana is a senior project manager who is energetic, highly organized, and adept at managing technical details at the highest level of responsibility. She is a natural leader and assures an interactive and collaborative design process, bringing together the design team of architects, engineers, stakeholders, and client staff to smoothly deliver an exceptional outcome. Georgana has led the delivery of large, complex projects such as the Ferguson Enterprises Headquarters 3 building, the Virginia Beach Sports Center, and the Multipurpose Center at Virginia State University.
