We are excited to welcome Jeff Yelton to Clark Nexsen as vice president, who is focused on serving our Higher Education and Student Life markets. He brings the insights of over three decades of practice to a wide range of college and university project types including student life, student housing, and academic buildings. Jeff will be responsible for managing client relationship and project success while fostering collaboration and design excellence.

“Jeff’s ability to engage and develop client relationships will be an enormous asset to our commitment to serve today’s students as well as future generations with innovative design solutions,” commented Clark Nexsen President Terri Hall.

His previous experience includes the Kenan Music Building at UNC Chapel Hill and the Plemmons Student Union Expansion at Appalachian State University. Most recently, Jeff led the $100 million student union at East Carolina University. He is a recognized leader in the design of student union facilities and his roster of higher education clients also includes UNC Charlotte, the Duke Fuqua School of Business, Longwood University, and Virginia Tech.

“I believe a successful project from a client’s perspective is built on listening, and the client seeing that you are listening to them,” Jeff states. “In developing a strong relationship with a client, you build more trust. Being honest with them, they see you as a resource they can turn to down the road.”
