As the first of several indoor ranges constructed at this location, our Public Safety team designed the FLETC Charleston Indoor Firing Range to aesthetically complement the surrounding structures. The single-story, fully enclosed indoor firing range offers increased training opportunities and features a qualification/requalification, 50-yard, 24-position walk down range designed for multipurpose firing, permitting static and dynamic courses using various weapons. The range is capable of creating a variety of training scenarios, featuring large doors that allow the capability of driving vehicles into the space as well as the use of large props.
Supporting facilities include an entrance lobby, classroom for instruction, weapons cleaning area, restrooms, range control booth, storage, and other building necessities such as mechanical and electrical space and a communications room.
