Clark Nexsen’s Give Local Campaign Donates $9,000 to Local Charitable Organizations

Clark Nexsen, in partnership with the Clark Nexsen Foundation, is excited to announce that $1,000 will be donated to nine organizations – $9,000 in total – across the southeast as part of the firm’s first-ever Give Local Campaign.

The Give Local Campaign was an opportunity to work with our employees in finding organizations or causes that they cared about, said Susan Drew, CID, IIDA, LEED AP BD+C, Principal, Director of Interiors, and Clark Nexsen Foundation Board Member. “We wanted to use this campaign to highlight causes, campaigns, organizations, and charities that are often overlooked, especially locally.”

The campaign was a month-long effort to expand Clark Nexsen’s charitable reach by supporting and building connections with local communities. Employees across the firm’s offices were given the opportunity to nominate a local 501(c)(3) charitable organization. After learning about the nominees, each office voted on which one would receive the $1,000 donation.

“The response to this initiative was amazing,” said Jennifer Heintz, AIA, LEED AP, Senior Architect, Principal, and Clark Nexsen Foundation Board Member. “Not only did our people nominate incredible organizations, but they also raised awareness of deserving local charities and causes. We’re thrilled to be making an impact in the communities of each of our office locations.”

The organizations that will receive a $1,000 contribution are as follows: Feed More, Richmond, VA;  Alice’s Kids, Vienna, VA; Hope For Life Rescue, Virginia Beach, VA; BeLoved Asheville, Asheville, NC; Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina, Charlotte, NC; Wake County Women’s Center, Raleigh, NC; The Arc Washington County, Johnson City, TN; Jay’s Hope Foundation, Macon, GA; Blue Ridge Independent Living Center, Roanoke, VA.
