The renovated Durham, NC Corporate Headquarters and Manufacturing facility for Argos Therapeutics will showcase the unique expertise in the development of patient specific applications. Argos is a biopharmaceutical company with a focus in the development and commercialization of immunotherapies for the treatment of cancerous tumors and infectious diseases. Their specific method, involves the personalization of treatment for each tumor received. Individual patients do not visit the facility, since Argos provides thorough testing on cancerous tumors removed or biopsied from patients. Once testing is complete, an individualized approach to treat the tumor is developed and produced for the patients.

Argos discovered a need for an FDA approved facility to support their manufacturing needs for these patients. Clark Nexsen was brought on board to design this new state-of-the-art facility. With the challenges of providing for a new facility, the Argos and Clark Nexsen team determined that an interior upfit for an existing core and shell facility would better fit their needs.

Since this discovery, Clark Nexsen has designed a space that consists of administrative and manufacturing areas conducive to production, shipping, receiving, and research spaces within the shell facility. These spaces will benefit Argos’ need for validated production, and research laboratory spaces for necessary equipment. Clark Nexsen is currently working with Argos to develop the space beneficial to current and future needs and growth.
